My Extreme Adventure in Cancun

Cancun has a reputation for being the party hotspot of North America - sleep, eat, drink, & repeat, but Cancun has so much more to offer. There are ruins outside of Cancun you can explore or you could also go on a adventure tour to check out the cenotes, ride ATV’s, and zipline through the Mayan jungle which is exactly what I did on my recent trip to Cancun. I booked with Extreme Adventure and had an amazing experience which I will never forget. The employees in charge were excellent, funny, helpful, informative about our safety, and gave us instructions during each activity. They offer different prices depending on which activity(ies) you want to do. I paid around $70 for ATV, cenote, and ziplining. Here’s what to expect if you decide to book with Extreme Adventure.

Off-Road ATV Experience:

This was definitely the best part of the adventure. There are a lot of bumpy/rocky parts on the terrain and if you’re an experienced ATV driver, you can swing the ATV around for adrenaline feels. There are also flat and covered paths with muddy water which means you can go full speed for a good splash. Be sure to bring goggles/sunglasses, a pair of shoes you don’t like(they'll get dirty), and a bandana to cover your mouth as the terrain is very dusty and muddy. Short video below:

Cenote:

The cenote was out of this world. The natural water is super refreshing and clear, and you can use a zipline to jump into it. There are two cliffs you can jump from and a set a stairs for those who are not as adventurous. There are life jackets in case you don’t know how to swim. Be careful with your belongings - I saw several monkeys around who were up to no good. Short video below:

Ziplining Course:

This was my first time ziplining and had an absolute blast. I was nervous and kind of scared at first, but after the 1st zipline, I was ready for more. There are about 9 ziplines throughout the jungle each with a different zipline course. You will be upside down on the last zipline! Short video below:

Food:

Our food consisted of 2 tacos and a drink. The tacos are pretty good and had to get more.(additional cost) You can also purchase soda or beer. They make the food in a Mayan traditional way according to the staff.
